Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck. I just dislocated my knee, I’m naked on the floor of my bathroom in soo much pain I’m laughing.. quick my date will be here in 20 min, how do I relocate this bitch and how do I stall the date?! aaahhhhh

Update:I was able to relocate my knee cap and get dressed and ready just in the nick of time. She even stopped and bought me a knee brace and ice pack. We had a lovely evening of Netflix n chill with grub hub and cuddles. She was super sweet to me be all night. I'm sore as fuck today but I'll live! Thanks for the distractions in the moment!!

Just twist it the opposite direction from the one it went to dislocate, until you hear a pop.

Then brush your teeth and do your hair. You may want to consider the option to leave the door open so the date can find you and either rescue you, or take advantage of you, if you’re in to either of those.

are you sure it’s dislocated?  my right knee has a flap of cartilage or something which will sometimes lift when I try to stand from a crouching position and prevent me from extending my leg.

Go to the ER. Don’t risk doing more damage by resetting it badly . Don’t worry about the date, if she (or he) shows up, it will at least be memorable. You might want to give them a head’s up though.

According to the Oppo M anual of D iagnosis and Treat ment: inject some Mobil 1 synthetic, swap the cartilage for Miata  bushings , close the wound with an Oppo sticker , then do a dyno run to show the gains. You could also plug in your OBD reader, but that could be awkward if your date walks in during that maneuver....

I dislocated my kneecap in high school. It popped itself back but I partially tore my mcl, broke off some cartilage and fractured my tibia and that’s considered lucky. I needed it to be in a splint and on crutches  and then a brace and physical therapy. Eventually I needed surgery to get my knee scoped. You’ll need to go to the hospital and get it checked out.

Been there done that a few times with each knee, its not super fun.  After the first ER trip I had my ortho show me how to put it back myself.
